Pet Bio: We are looking for a home with no children for River. She is older and we want a calm home for her. She has bitten a child that was petting her, it didn’t require stitches, but we don’t want to risk a child getting hurt. River is a calm sweet girl, approximately 65 pounds and guessing 8 years old. She is potty trained and crate trained and is very food motivated. We think that she used to be a trained hunting dog because of her enthusiasm to run out the door and jump into a crate in the car. She is great with other dogs and cats and is mild mannered around her people. She crates lovely and is currently in her crate through the night or when her foster family isn’t in the home. At her previous home before coming into rescue, we were told that she was fine when left loose in the house. River was heartworm positive when she came into rescue and will require monthly heartworm prevention. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application.
