Be It Proclaimed:
Whereas, thousands of animals in the Greater Cincinnati area each year are homeless and in need of adoption; and,
Whereas, hundreds of animal rescuers, rescues and shelters work tirelessly year-round to find loving homes for these animals; and,
Whereas, flexi USA and phoDOGrapher Pet Photography have mobilized the animal welfare community in a collaborative effort to host a Super Adoption and create an event to bring homeless animals and the public together; and,
Whereas, My Furry Valentine is Greater Cincinnati’s largest companion animal adoption event.
Now, Therefore, I, Mark Mallory,
Mayor of the City of Cincinnati do hereby proclaim February 9 & 10th, 2013
“Pet Adoption Weekend” in Cincinnati.
We are thrilled, honored and grateful to be recognized, but we could not have done it without all the support of our adopters, fosters, volunteers, rescue, shelters and the community at large.
