Tamiami
Cincinnati Animal CARE
Tamiami is a resilient, specially-abled sweetheart who has captured every heart she’s met since arriving at CAC in August 2024 after being struck by a car. With the help of our medical team and a dedicated foster, she has rebuilt her strength and spirit on four wheels—and she’s thriving. Tami loves rolling through the neighborhood in her wheelchair, sunbathing in the backyard, visiting elementary schools to teach kids about resilience, and relaxing wherever her foster parents are. She’s a total cuddlebug who adores people, enjoys quiet chew time with her Benebones, and is crate trained (though she prefers a pen setup). With dogs, Tamiami is a calm coexister—she tolerates playful pups but isn’t looking for doggy playdates. What she is looking for is a human who loves snuggles as much as she does. She continues to be fantastic with every child she meets, but she must go to a no-cat home. Tami eats well, settles nicely once you leave, and loves her fireplace naps as the weather cools. She does require ongoing care, including 3–4x daily bladder expressions and a special diet/supplements for urinary support. Continued rehab isn’t required but has helped her maintain the mobility she does have. If you’re looking for a gentle, inspiring companion who radiates joy, gratitude, and determination, Tamiami is your girl. She has so much love to give and is ready to roll her way into a forever home of her very own.
