Pet Bio: Meet Pepperoncini This spunky little tabby is full of energy and gets along well with the other cats in the room. She arrived a few months ago after being rescued from a feral colony because the person feeding them noticed she was bleeding. She was taken to Grady where it was determined she had a uterine infection called pyometria. She was emergency spayed, as the condition can be fatal, and came to the shelter for adoption rather than rejoin the colony. For a colony cat, she sure is affectionate and trusting. Shes quickly become a favorite here at the shelter! I imagine she would get along well in most households but might be prone to escape attempts since she has only known life outside. She has not been exposed to dogs or small children so we cannot accurately assess how she would do in those situations. FIV/FeLV negative Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise the pet can easily be returned to the shelter. * Must be 21 or older to adopt
