Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time and talents to Greater Cincinnati’s largest animal adoption event! There are many tasks that we will need help with during the event including helping rescues bring animals in, greeting and assisting guests, keeping water bowls filled, distributing swag bags, helping new pet owners to their cars, etc. There are also plenty of volunteer opportunities leading up to the event like soliciting donations, distributing posters, stuffing swag bags, promoting the event on Facebook and helping with event set-up. As you can see, there are lots of ways to volunteer and we’re excited that you’ll be joining our team. See a brief description of each of the volunteer roles that make My Furry Valentine a success.
Registration Requirements
We’re asking that all of our MFV 2018 volunteers commit to the following:
- Be Open & Willing to Work Any Task. Even though the goal of our event is to help animals in need, most volunteer tasks do not involve working with animals directly. The rescues and shelters who attend our event are responsible for their care during the event. While we will do our best to accommodate your requests and skills, we ask that our volunteers be open and willing to work any assignment which may or may not include poop duty.
- Purchase an Event T-shirt. We’re asking our volunteers to purchase their Event Staff T-shirt when they complete the Registration Form.
- Attend Volunteer Orientation. Our Volunteer Orientation will be on Thursday, 2/8/18, 6p-8p, at Sharonville Convention Center. At this meeting we will review volunteer assignments, distribute t-shirts and answer any questions you may have.
- Varied volunteer positions available for adults 18+. Teens ages 15-17 for data entry positions only.
