For the third year, Cristofoli-Keeling is working with the My Furry Valentine team to help bring this incredible event to life. Cristofoli-Keeling is a majority-women owned marketing communications firm with a passion and dedication to our clients and our furry friends!
Ann Keeling, the Founder and President of Cristofoli-Keeling, met Carolyn Evans (My Furry Valentine founder), while the two worked on the Board of the United Coalition for Animals (UCAN). After Carolyn’s tremendous success with the inaugural My Furry Valentine event in 2012, Cristofoli-Keeling began working to generate awareness and build attendance for the annual Super Animal Adoption Event.
“We strongly support My Furry Valentine’s efforts to help our region’s animals find loving homes and to spread the word that local shelters and rescues are the best places for potential pet owners to visit when adding a new member to their family. All animals are an integral part of our society and deserve the love, dignity, and respect that we expect from each other”, noted Ann Keeling.
Taking care of animals is one of the most beautiful ways to give back to our community. We need to devote our time and hearts to protect them and spread awareness of the wonderful rescues and shelters in our community. Finding a home for an animal in a shelter or rescue is saving a life.
Ann has two rescue pups, Sammy and Winston, both Australian Shepherds found in local shelters. She and her husband also recently adopted two adult cats from Ohio Alleycat Resource, named Peabody and Sherman. She is a life-long advocate for animal welfare and is passionate to causes such as UCAN, Pets In Need, Ohio Alleycat Resource (OAR), and Save the Animals Foundation (STAF), locally.
Clare Whitaker, an associate at the firm, has also been working on the event. While Clare doesn’t have a pet of her own, she has still found ways to spend time with animals. As a student in college, Clare walked dogs nearly every afternoon, including a German Shepherd rescue named Kona.
Pets are the best kinds of friends to have and we hope that many attendees at this weekend’s event will be able to share in the joy of welcoming a furry friend (or reptile) into their home. There are few times more unforgettable than to see a child share a moment with his/her new pet. If we can help foster a healthy and enriching relationship between humans and animals, it will have the power to make a difference in the lives of many. And if a permanent new friend isn’t in your future, we encourage you to give to the many shelters locally that need our help, or volunteer if you have the time.
