He’d been living mostly outdoors, in the garage of the woman who’d been feeding him for awhile. But she couldn’t afford to take in & care for another cat, so needed to find him a new home; that’s how he found himself with Purrfect Friends. He doesn’t really play well with others – wants to be very dominant with other cats, so he’d do best as the king of his own castle, without any other cats. He’s now been neutered and vaccinated and is ready to start a new life in a new forever home. ** Santana’s blood test indicates that he is FIV+ ( Feline immunodeficiency virus ) , which causes a weakening of the cat’s immune system. Don’t let it scare you away – it’s not contagious to other cats except thru deep fighting, biting wounds, so neutered pet cats can live together very comfortably & safely. Santana is currently housed alongside other FIV negative kitties in his foster home. Many, probably most FIV+ cats live long healthy lives; others may get sick occasionally & need vet care more quickly because of it.
