Pet Bio: Meet Henrietta Henrietta had what she thought was the ideal home with a loving family�until they moved and left her behind. A concerned neighbor saw her hanging around outside house and called to see why they hadn�t taken her with them. They answered they couldn�t take her where they had moved so they just put her outside to figure out the rest of her life on her own. With no access to food or water, Henrietta didn�t know what else to do except wait by the door for her family to return. The neighbor felt sorry for her so she brought her into her own home, but she had dogs who were not accepting of the cat so that was not a good situation either. Henrietta came to live at the shelter in July 2022. She was scared and hid in the back of her cage for a couple of weeks. She eventually warmed up and appreciated pets and scratches around her head. She doesn�t trust you to pet her back near her tail or to pick her up and carry her, but once you know her boundaries, she�s delightful and chatty, seeking out attention. Seems to be around 4-5 years old and in great health. She shares a room with 5 other cats and does quite well with them. FIV/FeLV negative * Must be 21 or older to adopt **Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.
