Last year, our 2016 event welcomed more than 14,000 guests… this is a whole lot of people to keep engaged and entertained. And while the adorableness of all the animals the rescues and shelters bring are the main attraction, it’s not the whole story of what goes on during My Furry Valentine.
Our event brings together people who are adopting an animal for their first time (or sometimes getting their very first animal friend!), seasoned pet owners, dedicated volunteers, and animal enthusiasts who may not be sure about adopting yet but are looking for a reason to be convinced. This range of interests and experience means vendors have a lot of opportunities to create a connection with future customers, while at the same time My Furry Valentine participants have a lot of opportunities to learn about local pet stores, training services, food vendors, pet-friendly businesses and more. It’s one more way My Furry Valentine helps grow the network of animals lovers in our area.
The thing we love most about the vendors who participate in My Furry Valentine, though, is how much they love being a part of the magic that happens this weekend. It takes a whole family of people – volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and participants – to keep this event successful and growing, so we can continue saving the lives of so many animals. “There is really nothing like My Furry Valentine, not only in this city but really anywhere. We have over 88 locations around the country and this event is one of the only ones that focuses on adoptions. Also, the staff are so easy to work with, accommodating and organized, which is super important in having a great experience. We get a lot of clients from this event and referrals from them so it’s a super great marketing and sales tool for us. But, supporting the adoption organizations and My Furry Valentine to get dogs & cats adopted in bulk, is the number 1 reason we participate.”
