HART (Homeless Animal Rescue Team)
Buster was adopted, but unfortunately was returned through no fault of his own. He was adopted into a home where he was the only dog, but he needs to be in a family with another four legged friend. His demeanor changes significantly when around other dogs as he takes his cues from them with regards to people, especially men. Buster is more confident and outgoing as well and not so timid and withdrawn. Although timid, Buster has never nipped or tried to bite anyone!
He is also crate/house trained, and knows some basic commands such as sit, lay down, and come.
Buster came from a hoarding situation in Kentucky. We believe he lived his life on a chain. Buster is around 7 years old and just the sweetest little guy. When his foster mom went to pick him up he was so scared, trembling and shaking every time he was gently touched. Now that he is in his foster home he is doing better, especially with the other dogs. He seems to relax more around his foster siblings. He is still shy but runs to his foster mom to nudge her hand and then runs back into his kennel. He will give kisses and wants to be petted once he feels comfortable with you. He is working on building trust.
He seems to get excited and runs to the door when he needs to go potty. He is good with dogs and cats and was told he was good with children as well. He doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in his body. He does get scared of loud noises but he is still getting use to being in a home with unfamiliar sounds. As long as he has his kennel/cage he feels safe. Buster just needs a family that is willing to take the time to show him people do care and will give him love and affection.
